If your an online business owner one of your primary daily routines should be list building and these Top 3 Ways To Build An E-mail List. 

What is list building? List building is when people opt in to get information and or sales offers from you and become part of your E-mail mailing list. Once you have a list you can build up a relationship with your followers.

Here is one example of why a list is so powerful. I had a buddy who was making most his money from Google Adsense. A few months ago Google slapped his site and a bunch of others and he lost a big chunk of his income instantly. He however, had a list and was able to promote some affiliate products and regain the income he lost from Adsense.

On your blog create some good content for your people so you can build your creadability. As the saying goes, “content is king!“

One strategy to create content is to answer all the common questions you get in your area of expertise. Turn all those questions into a blog post.

In each blog post you must have a call to action to drive your readers to an opt in page.

An opt in page is ware a reader will enter there E-mail address and name (Name is optional your op tin rate will go down but the quality of your opt ins may be higher)

Here is an example of what I do on my blog that gives out similar advice to this article.

“If you want more info on how you can sell to any one online go here now and enter your E-mail address right now“

Tell people exactly what to do and the opt in rate will go up. 

The other thing you can do is put opt ins on the side bar and header of your blog like I have right here

The opt in should have some type of offer that will make them want to enter there E-mail. Lets say you are a tomato expert. Your opt in page offer could be, “learn the top 3 tips for growing the best tasting, biggest producing tomatoes plants around.”

Pop ups, I have found through testing, to be a very good way to generate opt ins. People who say they are spammy havent tested them and dont have the numbers on them. They work great.

Ideally to get the most sign ups you should only have just one URL link in your blog post that is driven to an opt in page. You can hyper link multiple times but send them to the same URL opt in for best results. The more different places you send them to through links the more likely you are to loose them from signing up and the more likely they’ll be going and staying on some other site.

People are ADD. Keep their attention on your information and drive them to your opt in only for best results

2) ARTICLES

There are are many article sites that you can submit your info too. Some of the top article submission sites are EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com, iSnare.com ArticleDashboard.com 

These sights at the end of your article will allow you to drive people to a link in your author discription drive them to a pure opt in page like this 

Your blog is good option too but for max opt ins drive them too an opt in page

Check out the articles that get lots of views and copy the format that has helped them succeed.

Articles that tend to do good are Top 3, 5, 7 lists, much like this article! For what ever reason odd numbers pull better

Lets say your in fitness niche these titles would be effective, ”3 Proven Best Ways To Lose Weight Fast”, “Look Great In A Bathing Suit Great In Less Than A Month”, “Top 3 Ways To Gain Muscle In Just 5 Weeks”  

Titles and subject that would not pull as effective would be “Top shoes laces to run in” “Walking work outs” “dieting helps you loose weight”

Look at effective articles and titles to get ideas and then create your own!

I have found a few people who have taken my content  a then claimed it as there own. Dont be that guy. Its illegal and you look like an idiot

3) VIDEOS

YouTube is one of top 3 most visited sites in the world and video is continuing to get more popular online.

Many of times you do a web search videos show up. You can also do video speific searches on search engines too.

YouTube is the primary video sight you want to use. There are others you can use as well but YouTube is the main one to focus on.

With a YouTube video have a call to action at then end that drives them to your opt in link. You can have to call to action be a pop up in the video or I actually tell them what to do. You can create this pop up in the video editing tools in YouTube

Have your Opt in link be the first thing in description box of the video. I will say, “click the link below and enter your email for more information”

People want to be directed so don’t be afraid to tell them to sign up. You will find your opt in rates will go up.

Your YouTube Videos should be based on the same concepts as you blog posts and articles. Quality Content is king!

What I usually do is choose on specific topic that I want to make content on and then I repurpose it through different mediums on the web.

2) Make article on Top 3 Ways To Build An E-mail List. (the advice can be the same  but it should be a different article as Google and article sites are not a fans of the same article being every ware so make sure it’s new)

4) Do a pod cast on Top 3 Ways To Build An E-mail List.

With all these have a call to action to drive them to your opt in page

The last thing is you should test and track every thing you do. You can always make your opt ins rates better and you can find what topics pull the best traffic too.

This is a broad metric that gives you a general overview of your backlinking campaigns. While the total number of domains linking to your site is obviously the more important metric, some sites may contain several links to your site, which can have an added impact on your optimization efforts. Total links refer to the total number of links that are pointing toward your site. Total domains refers to the total number of websites that link to your site, many of which may contain several different links. For instance, if a website has your link in their blogroll as a sitewide link, that would result in a link on every page, greatly increasing the number of total links that you have, while only adding one additional domain to your profile.

PageRank of Links

PageRank is a number from 0 to 9 that Google assigns to sites as a general indicator of the measure of worth that they place on a specific website. This number is indicative of a number of different factors including on site factors, and backlinks pointing to the site. Keep in mind that PageRank is not an indicator of how well a site may rank in the search engine, despite its name. Because of the requirements of ranking, those sites will generally rank better than sites that have a low PageRank. Your goal should be to have a broad array of links from various PageRank’s, the higher the PageRank, the better.

Anchor Text

One of the largest changes in backlink building during the Penguin Update was the increased importance of anchor text. Now, Google is looking for a natural balance of anchor text, including a healthy amount (some suggest 50% or more of your total profile, but that varies by individual strategy), “Click Here,” “Site Name,” “Site URL,” and other types of generic anchor text. It is important that you attempt to create a natural, balanced anchor text profile for your website. No longer can you solely focus on creating anchor text for money terms within your niche.

Based on what I have seen people do in the last 5 years to make the most money online, often times starting from scratch, it really came down to one of these 5 online business ideas.  

But before we start, here is a BIG tip that I will give you up front.  

Your long term success with online marketing will come down to 
Building a HUGE opt-in email list.  

As soon as you have a big list, you will have the ability to make money online quickly by simply emailing that list any time you have a great opportunity.

So let's take a look at the Top 5 Ways to Make Money Online…

1.  Blogging

Coming in at the top of the list is Blogging to make money online.  The reason this comes in at the top is because it is relatively easy for new people to get started.  

However, I must let you know that most bloggers don't make money, or they make just enough to cover their hosting costs and website costs.  

But there are definitely hundreds of thousands of bloggers online that are making great incomes as well.

The big difference between profitable bloggers and break-even bloggers comes down to marketing strategy.

It's not as simple as just setting up a blog and writing a few articles and then having checks roll in.

It requires a well though up plan on how you are going to drive thousands of targeted visitors to your blog, and then how you are going to monetize that blog by converting those visitors into customers.

I recommend starting with WordPress, as it is the most popular blogging platform on the internet, and it's the easiest way for people to get started.  

Plus there is a wealth of training available on YouTube to help you with your blog.

I personally use WordPress Blogs with Empower Network for $25/mo hosting because they are already pre-built for me, and they come with affiliate advertising already placed on each blog.

2.  Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing was how I first got started making money online back in the early 2000's.  I literally joined all the top affiliate networks at the time, like Commission Junction, ShareASale, Clickbank, Amazon, etc.  You name it.  If they had affiliate offers, I would join their networks.

I would then create niche websites on the internet and find products from these affiliate networks and place banners and text on my websites with my affiliate link embedded into it.

Next, I would focus on search engine optimization techniques to try and get those sites listed as well as I could in Google and Yahoo, and when they ranked well the visitors would come, and many of them would click the banners on my site and buy products.

I made most of my money through Amazon.com and Google Adsense when I first started, but it was definitely a lot of hard work.  

But once I "figured it out" after a lot of hit and miss, I had months as high as $20,000 while sitting in a comfy recliner chair, working from home, having movies playing in the background all day with my laptop on my lap.

It was exciting when I would wake up at 9am in the morning and see that I had already made $200-$300 that day passively while I was sleeping, and I knew it was going to be a big day!

But then of course the game kept changing.  More and more people were becoming affiliates.  There was more and more competition.  And visitors were less likely to click on my banners and my links.

However, these days you have a huge advantage that I didn't have back then.

You have Social Media!

Now you can learn strategies to promote affiliate offers using social media networks like Facebook, and Twitter, and Pinterest, and when you "figure it out" with those networks, you can literally make as much money as you want, while still providing a ton of value to your following.

It takes work, but Affiliate Marketing is definitely a great way to make money online.

3.  Become a YouTube Partner

This is a little bit out-of-the-box for most people.  In fact, when I have conversations about becoming a YouTube Partner with people, they often have no clue exactly how much money the top YouTube Video Bloggers (Vloggers) are making!

Did you know that there are 18 year old kids making $10,000-$20,000 every single month just from making YouTube videos?

Some of them just film themselves playing video games like Call of Duty Black Ops, and then give tips to people while they play, and literally make a six figure income just playing video games all day!

So how are they making money?

Once they get enough subscribers and views on their videos, they can apply to become a YouTube Partner, and they can profit share on the Ads that YouTube places on and around the videos.

Sure, it's a small amount of money when someone clicks on the ads, but if you can get hundreds of thousands of views on your videos, then it can add up to a ton of money.

The key to getting started here is to spend time watching what all of the top Vloggers are doing.  Learn as many of their techniques as possible and become a YouTube expert as quickly as you can.

Create a YouTube channel, and choose a topic that your videos will be about.

Then choose how you are going to create your videos.  Are they going to have you on camera?  Are you going to have other people on camera?  Or are you going to simply record your computer screen while you give tutorials?

There are many different ways to make money as a YouTube Partner, so develop a strategy, take immediate action to start it, and learn as you go.

4.  Create Your Own Product

Another common thing that I saw with people who were making serious money online is that they almost always had their own product.

Sure, they always promoted other products as well, but at some point they realized that they could create their own product, and then list it on sites like ClickBank and have thousands of affiliates out there promoting the product for them.

How it works is that you pay those affiliates a percentage of the revenues that you generate, and you only pay AFTER you have already received the revenue.

Common products to create would be e-books, recorded training videos, membership sites, or unique digital products.

Once you create your product, you also need a marketing sales funnel to help sell it.  So you should study other good sales funnels and reverse engineer them to create your own.

Every time you see someone else's product sales funnel, you should be taking notes of the things that you like and don't like about it.  Then you can hire someone to help you build the sales funnel and work on getting it to convert as high as possible.

When you "crack the code" and get a super high converting sales funnel, and a great product, and you pay a very high commission, then you need to simply get it in front of as many affiliate marketers as possible.

If they can make good money promoting it, then they will be very happy and the sales will roll in.

5.  Internet Marketing Consulting

The last of the 5 top ways to make money online is to become an internet marketing consultant.

Now, this is a mix of offline marketing and online marketing, because you may be talking with business owners face to face depending on your marketing strategy.

The first step here is to become extremely knowledgeable with internet marketing.  This is quite obvious.

So you should start by studying as many strategies as you can, joining groups, internet marketing clubs, and experimenting yourself with these strategies by using existing internet marketing systems.

Once you identify some unique marketing concepts that you have seen work for many people online, then you can approach business owners who are looking to promote their business online and offer your services as a consultant.

You can charge them an hourly rate or a project rate, and you can either just do the consulting, or you can also find a team of developers to fulfill the work and design the sales funnels and do the marketing.  

This is actually how many of the "gurus" make money when they are not doing product launches.  They are consulting with small to medium sized businesses on how to grow their mailing list and increase sales.

They are introducing them to a ton of great ideas and concepts and are making good money consulting.

Just be sure that you actually know what you are doing.  Don't accept money from a business owner unless you are confident that you can deliver great results.  And when you do get a client, treat them well, and work hard to help them succeed.  

If you do this right, you will have so many referrals from word of mouth that you will most likely have your hands full and will be making a great income working from home doing internet marketing.

Registering for Fiver is free and fast. They are integrated with PayPal, easy to navigate, and best of all, have an incredible variety of people willing to do a wide variety of tasks for $5.

The economy has made a lot more people willing to do a lot more, to earn a buck, or a few bucks. I've never worked for Fiverr, however it's a safe bet the people that do "gigs" there do not get the full $5. Fiverr has to make money, and even PayPal must get their share.

When you want SEO marketing on Fiverr, you often get $5 worth of work. Fiverr has a rating system where you can read comments and reviews about previous "gigs" someone has completed. Many of the gigs are funny, "I will have my kitty sing happy birthday" or "I will write almost anything on my forehead for 24 hours and go out in public".

However, most of the gigs are serious – "I will help you with your PHP problem" or "I will debug your web page errors" or "I will post to your blog". There is nothing illegal or obscene at Fiverr, but other than that, almost anything is there.

The best part of Fiverr is that it is fun. Their web site is simple to navigate, they make it easy to order, and no site is more interesting to search to see what people will do for $5.

The most surprising part of Fiverr is the quality of the people that do the gigs for five dollars. Fiverr does their best to prevent people from communicating outside of their system, but many consultants get a lot of long-term profitable client introductions from their five dollars gigs.

Fiverr is the best place to find consultants, bizarre things, advice, and help with many tasks that I've ever found. All you risk is five dollars. I have never been burned there, although sometimes I have received only five dollars in value.

Have fun with Fiverr. Have someone sing a sing, or request someone do something – and they will let you know when they find a match. You can sign up, and work at Fiverr very easily – if you have a skill or product that people are willing to pay $5 for.

You won't become wealthy working gigs at Fiverr, but you may have a lot of fun, make some cash, and get great leads for future business.
